I have been reading books much more recently and plan to read more this year.
Along the way, I've discovered there's quite a debate about how we should approach our reading habits.
There are two main views on reading books.
One view says you should buy more books even if you can't read them all - build that personal library!
It's okay if you read just a chapter or a page, or don't take much from it.
Think of it as creating your own bookstore at home.
The other view is more intense: read each book you buy completely, multiple times.
Mark it, summarize it, make it into tatters with use.
If you have bought a book it deserves your full attention and deep understanding.
I think the answer is what works for you.
My way would be somewhere in the middle. I wouldn't recommend ordering many books and reading just 2-3 pages of each (we've all been there!).
At least try to read each book completely.
I finished reading a book completely some time back is The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy.
It talks about a concept of Big Mo in Chapter 4. Progress is slow in the beginning but if you are consistent and get into rythm momentum kicks in.
I would highly recommend this book.
